Rise Up
~Pamela Henry
Sunbeams pierce the veil
As clarity unravels
A long golden thread
Of desire
To voice the unexpressed
Rise up
Stand strong
Release the shackles
That bind truth unspoken
Unleash the power
Of allowance
Of acceptance
Of love
Of every utterance
You dared not speak
Breathe life into
Your deepest knowing
Expose the hidden layers
Of deception
Cut the cords
Of perceived protection
Reclaim your authentic voice
Now.
~
At your very core, you are light.
You’re a brilliant soul who’s here to share your gifts, talents and abilities and fan your flame of radiance and love. Your life purpose, should you choose to accept your mission, is joy.
When you’re in a state of bliss you’re reflecting your true nature. In other words, you feel connected to your heart and life flows with ease.
When you’re not aligned with your truth you may feel disconnected, anxious, agitated and depressed among other negative feelings.
You’ll wear many hats during your life and at the heart of your most fulfilled experiences are joy and love. This essential truth supports your well being beyond anything else.
Throughout our lives we acquire labels. These include all the roles you fulfill in your day to day life including mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife, daughter, son, student, employee, entrepreneur, artist, boss, strong, weak, controlling and the list goes on and on. These labels are part of your identity, however they are not the whole story.
What if you knew you are more than the descriptions that currently identify you?
I’m not saying that you stop relating to these roles, they are all experiences that you’re here to have, however, these roles are only one part of you. You’re so much more. Most of us go about our daily routines without considering that we have limitless choices that could create a more joyful experience. Expanding beyond existing definitions opens up tremendous freedom of choice and possibility.
Ask yourself: “How can I become a more loving parent or sibling, a more engaged husband or wife, a more respectful daughter or son, a happier employee, a more expressive artist, a more supportive boss? How can I create more joy in all aspects of my day to day life?”
What would it take to discover and stand strong in your truth? When you begin to look at your truth as the essence of joy, creating more joyful experiences in your life serves to expand and reveal more of your inner light.
When you put aside all the descriptors, who are you? You may discover the center of who you are is very simple. You’re a soul having a human experience and your true essence, joy, has been hiding behind your roles and limited beliefs all along.
To discover your truth requires that you look within. Begin by acknowledging and shifting your negative feelings or outdated belief systems. These are as varied as your fingerprints and could include lack of self worth or self esteem, not feeling good or worthy enough, not feeling beautiful or thin enough, not educated or smart enough, not deserving enough, young enough, old enough, creative enough and on it goes.
Here’s a quick exercise to help release negative feelings or emotions and replace them with light and love.
1. Identify the negative emotion or emotions that you would like to release.
2. Sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor, palms facing up on your lap and close your eyes.
3. Picture a beautiful translucent blue bubble out in front of you.
4. Inside the bubble there’s a magnet and it’s pulling all your negative emotions into the bubble.
5. Imagine your body begin to feel lighter as the magnet continues to siphon all the negativity into the bubble.
6. When you feel complete, visualize the bubble floating away or dissolving into the earth.
7. Now picture a golden ball of liquid light hovering about a foot above your head.
8. Imagine this golden liquid light pouring down over your head and body, filling all the places where you released negative emotions with light and unconditional love.
As you embrace self love and allow the bubble to float away, your radiant, playful and loving self will begin to emerge. You’ve always had these qualities, they’ve just been hidden behind the layers of your acquired roles and limited beliefs.
As you become increasingly connected to your joy, it becomes easier to identify and shift into positive feelings by placing your negative thoughts inside a bubble and allowing them to drift away. As you let go, you may find that other negative thoughts begin to surface. This is completely natural, it’s like peeling back the layers of an onion.
Have you ever been inspired by someone who lives their truth? It’s not about agreeing or disagreeing with their choices, but a point of acknowledging the clarity they have in living authentically as who they are.
