Between Here And There
~Pamela Henry
Between here
And there
Is a chasm
Of hope
This great divide
Speaks of
The dissolution of
Separation
From one side
To the other
Shimmering
Diamond light
Transmutes the
Desperation to live
A life fulfilled
Unleashing the magic
That transforms
The illusory
Reality you once
Perceived as
Truth
Into a loving
Cosmos
Waiting to be revealed
In a heartbeat of
Oneness.

How to make a difference in the world is a popular topic these days. In spite of all the trauma in the daily news and in our daily lives, many are searching for their life purpose and long to make a difference.
Is your inner voice calling you to something greater?
Making a difference is like creating art. I’ve come to look at it from the perspective of being versus doing. Being is the open-hearted connection to your higher self that invites your creative spirit to flow. Doing, on the other hand, is disconnected from presence and is driven by ego, in other words personality and thinking.
You can stroke a canvas or put your pen to paper from either state but when you create from the presence of being, your work of art reveals itself with more ease and magnificence than you can imagine. There’s a flow that happens when you’re connected to your source that is absent when you create from the illusion of doing.
You could say that being leads to more expanded and joyful experiences. Whereas, doing involves activities that you think will bring joy and satisfaction but eventually leave you feeling unfulfilled.
Many people create success by doing but when you embrace being, your infinite potential ignites.
Connecting with your true self is a necessary stepping stone to aligning with your life purpose and getting clear on the action that will have the greatest impact on your life and the lives of others.
When talking about making a difference, many have lofty dreams and goals. But the fact is, the simplest of soul centered intentions hold the power to shift the world in profound ways.
Your desire to make a difference begins within. This wish to create positive change is most powerful when it flows from your heart and it all starts with treating yourself with love and compassion.
This is the heart of your soul work. Creating from this loving state of being draws the opportunities to you that will bring deep meaning to your mission, however big or small.
You have a choice to either go with the flow or resist it. As I’ve discovered, when you get into alignment with your higher self, your life journey leads you on new and wonderful adventures.
How to fuel your calling with heart-centered intention and release any ego-driven agendas.
Creating heart-centered intention and releasing agendas that no longer serve you requires that you connect with your inner wisdom. Spending a few minutes each day in quiet contemplation is the most powerful way to achieve this.
Gift yourself 10 minutes or more to practice being present. You may choose to sit in a comfortable chair and simply breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, staying focused on your breath.
You may use your favourite guided meditation, choose to take a walk in nature or sit quietly by a lake or stream. Choose whatever works for you and is easiest to commit to.
Set an intention to receive wisdom from your higher self and to release any thoughts that are distracting you from your highest mission. During this peaceful time, allow your thoughts to wander and release.
This self commitment will serve to reveal the many ways in which you’re here to make a difference. New ideas will flow as you come into vibrational alignment with your higher purpose.

Pam, whenever I get stressed or find myself rushing & making mistakes, I know it’s because I haven’t taken the time to slow down & be present. Just a few moments in nature or with my eyes closed & taking deep breaths seems to restore my balance. As usual, lovely poetry in the beginning! 🙂
Slow down & be present…words of wisdom Tae Lynne! I’ve learned that one the hard way on many occasions! Nurturing the awareness that it takes to step back and take a few breaths is so vitally important. It makes me so happy that you enjoy my poetry. Thank you for your support! xo
