Having It All
~Pamela Henry
Soaring
Beyond shades of blue
Waves of resistance drift away
As the layers lift
Dissolving into the infinite sea
I rejoice in freedom
For I know this is who I am
An eternal being of light
Here and now
Embracing this journey of creation
As each door opens
I choose joy
Music pours through every moment
And the chorus expands
Breathing hope into all souls
An invitation to jump into the vortex
Of life and love
Shifting into appreciation of All That Is
Experiencing the joy of having it all.

Are you living with purpose? Do you wake up in the morning and jump out of bed, excited about living a life that is meaningful to you?
We all have seeds of desire.
Several years ago I began a personal development journey unlike any I had ever taken. It grew from a deep yearning to reclaim my creative power and create the life I’ve always known is possible. I wanted to experience the joy of having it all.
I can still remember the intense feelings of emptiness and longing as I hit a low point, and like many of you, I had no idea how to pull myself up. I had lost connection to self and I was filled with so much doubt about my future, it felt like the best was behind me.
Thoughts of unworthiness filled my being and everything around me seemed to prove that this was true. Hanging on to a glimmer of hope, I asked that I be shown what to do next. And I waited. And I waited.
Within a few weeks, I was introduced to a program designed to retrain your brain for success. This program was my introduction into an entire new world of possibilities.
I was a sponge, soaking in new thoughts and ideas through the teachings of so many wonderful educators. New friendships blossomed through like minded connection. I felt alive, like I had finally connected with who I really am and living with purpose.
What is living with purpose?
The purpose of your life is joy. ~Abraham-Hicks
How do we achieve this state of joy?
As the layers of negative self-talk lifted, I began to feel happier. I discovered an interest in energy work and learned to facilitate several modalities. And in time I started writing again. Lyrics and music began to flow.
I have to admit that there were moments when I felt change wasn’t happening fast enough, and it still happens. However, I have learned that this is part of my journey. There are no destinations, only experiences along the way and we get to choose what those experiences are. I have learned to enjoy the journey and be grateful for my path as it unfolds.
Even when you are in the pits of despair or experiencing a dark night of the soul, you can choose a thought that feels better than where you are in that moment. Over time, joy will become your dominant feeling.
How to make joy your dominant feeling.
When you are feeling joyful take a moment and memorize what it feels like. What sensation do you feel in your body?
Then, in times when you are feeling fear, guilt, worry or other dense emotions, remember what the sensation of joy feels like. With practice you will become proficient at recalling this sensation and eventually it will become your dominant feeling.
You have gifts, talents and abilities that are unique to you and you have a powerful story to share. We all do. You are infinitely amazing, and the sooner you realize it, the sooner we all get to benefit from your distinctive brilliance.
Here’s what I know now. It is our divine responsibility to use our unique talents to share our story and lift each other up.
Have fun as you explore new ways to express your magnificence.
Joy is your direct connection to Spirit, and it has been my experience that when you’re connected, ideas flow with ease. In fact, everything flows with ease. When you feel disconnected, find a thought or an activity that makes you feel good. That’s the key.
