Overcoming Difficulties. Moving Towards Your Best Life

Best LifeInto The Light

~Pamela Henry

Beyond the horizon
A golden thread
Of light
Pierces my heart
Forever changing
The world I once knew

This powerful
Feeling of connectedness
Expands
The illusion now transparent
A sense of relief
Courses through my veins

Immersed in
Sub atomic particles of joy
Rushing coolness
Carries me downstream
With Heavenly bliss

Universal Presence
Captures my
Imagination
Its creative flow
Spirals through my
Body and being
In a cocoon of
Liquid light

Ease
Joy
Peace
Love

Transforming
Within and without
Moving beyond
Perceived imperfection
Light is ever present.

~

I still remember a time when my difficulties felt insurmountable. I felt like my best years were behind me and I wasn’t good enough to create the life I had always dreamed of.

Live Your Best LifeThankfully, I made a decision to improve my situation. I knew I couldn’t continue down the road I was on. Slapping a plethora of happy face stickers on my denial in an attempt to fool myself and everyone around me was just not working anymore. I was tired of feeling unhappy and unfulfilled.

Are you stuck in victim-hood? Do you feel that your situation is the fault of someone else? Perhaps you can’t understand why things keep going wrong. Maybe you are willing to take responsibility for your circumstances, but feel that there’s nothing you can do.

We always have a choice to move forward.

No matter what your situation is, you have the power to choose a better feeling thought and move in the direction of the life you want.

So how do you get there?

Three C’s To Overcome Difficulties and Create Your Best Life

1. Compassion

Starting to release judgment is an important first step in moving towards your best life.

You are responsible for your own journey and being in judgment distracts you from focusing on your hearts desire. This doesn’t mean you have to condone the behaviors of others, but it is important to acknowledge that they have their own path and their own lessons.  Choosing compassion shifts your energy into a higher vibration and that is essential if you want to move beyond your problems.

How would you like to be treated? Treat yourself and others with kindness and acknowledge that it’s perfectly fine to be exactly where you are and allow others to be exactly where they are.

2. Courage

It takes courage to overcome difficulties that you may be facing. Own your personal power by taking responsibility for your circumstances.

Have the courage to release control and learn how to listen to your inner guidance. Being on your authentic path requires that you learn to trust your inner voice even when you don’t fully understand where it’s leading you.

You may not feel courageous, but trust that you are. It takes courage to dream of having a better life. This desire to overcome your difficulties is your inner voice urging you to step into your power by bringing you a message that you have the ability to create a better life.

Having the courage to release control can be one of the most difficult aspects of overcoming challenges. When you try to control everything around you, you shut out the possibility of a new outcome.

Think about it. If you continue to live your life in the same way, will you receive a different result?

3. Commitment

Make an unwavering promise to yourself to do whatever it takes to get the results you seek. Know that you have everything you need within you to move through your difficulties.

Change can be uncomfortable. There may be times when you feel like quitting because it feels too hard and not worth it. The change you want may show up completely different from how you imagined it would be. What if something even better shows up?

Make a clear covenant with yourself. Write about it in your journal. Write it on sticky notes and place them around your home if appropriate. Do whatever it takes to keep your promise front of mind. It could read something like this or write one of your own:

I, (your name here), make a commitment to do whatever it takes to create the life I desire. I agree to choose a more positive outlook whenever I feel negative feelings begin to surface. I acknowledge that choosing better feeling thoughts will help me attract the life I would like. I promise to focus on the joy that I feel when I think about my best life. (sign your name here)

Make note of how your life begins to change as you choose happier thoughts. Acknowledging and celebrating your successes will fuel you to keep going.

Choosing a more positive outcome will open the doors of possibility. Observing the world around you from the perspective of possibility allows you to see loving solutions to your difficulties that you may not have seen before.

Give thanks for the experiences that have led you to this point. You have made a decision to step into your phenomenal life and be the best version of yourself. That is cause to celebrate!

    1. The Three C’s. Compassion. Courage. Commitment. I read this article, Pamela, and thought, “this is about relinquishing and the relief that comes with it.” And I love, love, love the commitment quote. Very powerful! xo
