The Pink Orchid. Return to Stillness

Return to StillnessThe Pink Orchid

~ Pamela Henry

I am strong
I am graceful
I am a pink orchid
With a healing message of love

Let me infuse your being
With beauty
This healing essence
Of pink light

Open your eyes
Sweet one
See the possibility
That shines
From deep within

This delicate balance
Of well-being
Surrounds you
It is you

Relax and breathe
Receive this pink light
That’s all you have to do.

~

Today a magnificent pink orchid captured my attention, its rich beautiful color popping against the white snowy scene on the other side of the window.

When something captures my attention, I’ve come to know that there is a message or a lesson to be learned.

Curious about the significance of the orchid, a quick search reveals that it’s known across many cultures for it’s healing properties. This exquisite and elegant flower represents love, beauty and strength and has disease-fighting and protective properties.

MeditationAs I sit in this overstuffed armchair, gazing at this graceful flower, I ponder the message it has to share and I can feel my heart open to receiving it’s healing energy.

I sit quietly, allowing my mind to drift. As I begin to breathe deeply and release my thoughts, I realize that this pink orchid is drawing my attention back to stillness and bringing the healing power of meditation back into my awareness. As I connect to the stillness, I feel relaxed.

I smile as I’m overcome with a feeling of deep gratitude. It’s no surprise that I have been guided to sit with this pink beauty today. My thoughts have been scattered lately and I have been asking for guidance to refocus.

When you ask for guidance you open the door to receiving an answer. My response came in the form of a beautiful interaction with a pink orchid. Completely unexpected and divinely orchestrated, I couldn’t have planned such an inspired moment. It is up to us to ask, and then recognize the answers when they are placed upon our path.

Returning to stillness allows you to receive the answers you seek, as well as feelings of well being and love. It allows you to step back from the hectic pace of day to day life with renewed perspective.

We are living in a state of profound  possibility. Each thought you have is contributing to the outcome of what is going on around you in this moment. This means anything is possible. Whatever you desire to create is possible. How cool is that?

The answers you are searching for show up in the most profound ways with total ease when you stop looking for them. They may come to you through a conversation that you overhear, a song lyric, or a book. Or you may be drawn to sit in an empty armchair placed perfectly in front of a pink orchid.

Beauty is all around. It flows through all creation and sometimes we need to be reminded of its infinite presence within the stillness.

Healing is available to us in each precious moment. Nothing stays the same. Even when you feel that nothing is changing, everything is changing. Energy is in constant motion.

This message of stillness is my offering to you today.

Please share your thoughts below.

Healing thoughts,
Pamela

    1. Thank you for this beautiful reminder to slow down, be still, and listen – the answers are there for us, if we just listen. What a loving tribute to your Mom, may her soul rest in peace. I am sure her heart swells with pride of her loving daughter. xox, Reba
